Hey! :) Thanks for doing such a great giveaway! My favorite dress that you have made thus far has to be the halter dress. I think it is a lovely, classic pattern, and it looks beautiful on you. The fabric and button choice was fantastic, too!
ReplyDeleteSquee! What a great giveaway! I hope I win! My favorite dress is the Betty Draper. It's va-va-voom in every possible way. I love the fit and the fabric and the construction looks wonderfull. Now off to my blog to post a link to your contest...
ReplyDeleteMy favorite dress you've made is the Betty Draper dress. I think you look so elegant and stylish.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for visiting my blog and for the nice comment you left regarding my photo shoot with the skirt I made.

I prefer the Betty Draper dress. It looks sophisticated.
ReplyDeleteAs for me the dress I LOVE would be the Betty Draper Dress. It is very reminiscent of a time from my childhood watching the grown-ups on a weekend evening cocktail party at my parents home. Swearing to God ," Someday, I will look sophisticated, and sexy like these women". I think that is what your dress does for you. Stunning would be the word. When I got to the age that I really could wear the style I so loved it sadly wasn't in Vogue, and neither were the cocktail parties, and smoking from a jewel studded cigarette holder. So...if truth be told you've given me the chance not to have missed it altogether,I'm living vicariously trough your exquisite style. Thanks ;)

I'll post about the giveaway in my blog....I'm feeling lucky =) !!!

Cool giveaway! My favorite is a toss up between the Betty Draper and rick rack dresses. I cant choose!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on reaching 100! I love the Ga Ga Ga Gingham dress best.
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable you and blog! Wow! Found it through Sewing is Hard.
ReplyDeleteI love the GA GA GA Gingham! Super cute!
My favourite, like many others is the Betty Draper dress. Classic, stylish and sophisticated. And who doesn't love to channel a bit of Mad Men?
ReplyDeleteHmmm, I like both the Strawberry Fields and the Betty Draper dress. I guess if I have to pick just one it would be the Betty Draper dress because I think it's so flattering on you (and because I adore Mad Men).
ReplyDeleteI love them all, but I'm a sucker for rick rack, and I love the full skirt look. The back is the best part though! It's adoable & very sweet & summery.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the Betty Draper dress. Even in a simple fabric, the dress would be pretty, but the aqua fabric and the vintage buttons make it extra special!
ReplyDeleteGa Ga Ga Gingham comes in a close second for me. The fabric is perfect for the dress, and I love the detail on the sleeves. It's sweet as can be.
I posted about your giveaway on my blog. I used one of your photos. I hope that was okay. If not, let me know and I'll remove it ASAP.

betty draper dress. hands down! i'm a sucker for mint green anything and that silhouette is bodacious! yes. bodacious. i just dont throw that around willy nilly. plus, those buttons are PRECIOUS. every time i revamp a dress i add buttons or a bow. i just cant help myself. instant adorable! and to top it all off, i take personal offense to anyone not obsessed with mad men. need i say more? no. no i dont.
ReplyDeleteI love the Betty Draper dress! It's a darling dress. The shape is great on you and your fabric choice is great!
ReplyDeleteAnd I guess I'm kind of biased on this one because I myself am thinking of making a Betty Draper inspired dress.
I like the ga ga ga gingham dress best. Love your pics too. Congrats on reaching 100 followers too.
ReplyDeleteNew follower via Wedgwood Tulsa - pleased to meet ya!
ReplyDeleteI say the Strawberry Fields dress because it's a mod, mod, mod, mod world and I'm a mod, mod, mod, mod girl. :)
Definitely the Betty Draper dress!

I love the rick-rack dress the best because you look so HAPPY in the pictures! You look carefree and so in the moment. Plus, I have a soft spot in my heart for rick-rack, because it reminds me of my grandmother, who would sew rick-rack onto any garment she made in her later years.
ReplyDeletei love the rick-rack dress because it is REVERSIBLE!, has pockets, and closes with giant buttons. plus, rick rack, what's not to love? it looks like a *fun* dress :)

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely give away! Those glasses are to die for and that fabric *swoon*! My favorite dress is the Parasol Skirt and Top. It's so fun and charming, something I would love to have in my wardrobe =D!
ReplyDeleteMy fingers are crossed! Please pick me!!!
Definitely the Gingham. Love it with the red shoes. So perfect!
ReplyDeleteI vote for the sexy sultry halter dress. You would be at home anywhere in that fabulous garment - and boy would you get your way! It looks fantastic and I can see scores of men (and women, for that matter) falling in line behind you as they seek to cater to your every whim. It's gorgeous and you look like a movie star!
ReplyDeleteThe halter dress, you look so glam in it!
ReplyDeleteX-posted to Sew Retro and here
ReplyDeleteStrawberry Fields dress for me!
1. Because I love the 1960s
2. It reminds me of something Marianne Faithfull would have worn in the 60s, which is always an extremely good thing as she had awesome style.
3.It makes me want to sew something 60s style, not an excuse for that is ever needed.
4. It's down right fabulous!

And I'm loving those 50s frames! I could never go back to wearing modern glasses after getting my own pair of vintages one, just the fact they're unique and ooze style equals win!

Surprised to see how much I'm in the minority here because I've always LOVED the Parasol Skirt and Top! Both pieces are great, they work together or apart, and that umbrella fabric is just adorable. I'm with Ally, I'd wear them in a heartbeat!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your 100 followers! I am torn between two of your creations, but in favor of glamor, I must choose the Betty Draper dress (soo pretty!). But I also adore the Coffee Klatch dress, and I love the name even more.
ReplyDeleteFound you on Sew Retro. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI love the ric rac dress because I have a total love of vintage trims and ric rac is one of them! I have a big stash of gigantic red ric rac trim that is just waiting for a sewing project...

I love the Betty Draper dress! It's so elegant, the fabric is beautiful, the buttons are so cute and who doesn't love lace?
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the Ga Ga Ga Gingham dress. I love the yoke and sleeve details and always love a gingham print. Makes me want to don a parasol and go for a stroll in the park.

Congratulations on reaching 100!
ReplyDeleteI can only pick 1 dress?!?!? Yikes, okay, I can narrow it down to two but not 1, sorry ;-)
I love the first dress you made, the Halter Dress but the material and the rick-rack in the Rick Rack dress are to die for!
So, sorry, can't pick just 1!
What an amazing giveaway! I love the Betty Draper-dress, like so many else...But it truly is a knockout, the cut, the fabric, very nice. I especially liked the front neckline details and the creases on the skirt. Think I will have to try to make something like that myself somday, very inspiring.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I also wrote about this on my blog...

I adore the TV show "Mad Men", and the wardrobe used for the show. That being said, I fell in love with the Strawberry Fields dress because I have not seen anything lately which so exemplifies that era of dressing. I lived through the mod 60's as a young woman, and my mother, a gifted seamstress and always aware of the latest styles, would try to dress me in the latest mod dresses. I say try because I did not feel bold enough to wear them. You, however, would be what I wish I had looked like in the very mod Strawberry Fields dress. You captured everything, from the see through overdress to the headband.

I just love the Coffee Klatch Wrap! I love stripes and I love anything with cute graphics on it. The coffee cartoon is adorable against the prim blue and white stripes. And the idea of a garment worn for a specific domestic event is such a delightful vintage idea. Let's bring it back!
ReplyDeleteThank you!

Congrats on your 100! I like the Strawberry Fields the best - fabulous colour and details - and such fun!
ReplyDeletealthough i love the betty draper (so classy, so well done) i would pick strawberry fields (so adorable and fun! i LOVE the pattern!) both are lovely:) kerilynn

Wow, wonderful giveaway! I think my fave has to be the Betty Draper dress - you've really channelled her style with that awesome creation :) Congratulations on 100 followers!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore the halter dress. The pattern is amazingly gorgeous and you adaption is beautiful. I like how, when it is made up in the spots, the details and pockets are so subtle. I think it would be sweet for autumn or spring if you made the boero as well.
ReplyDeleteThere is only one thing you have to do: make me one too!
Oops! I forgot to say, if I win please email me at
ReplyDeletecherry_cat @ y7mail.com
Thanks so much!
What a fun giveaway. I think my favorite is the Strawberry Fields. It reminds me of a dress my older sister wore. I couldn't wait for it to be mine.
ReplyDeleteThey're all beautiful! The Betty Draper dress is my favorite. It's stylin'!
ReplyDeleteFun! all your garments are well made, but I have to say my favorite is the Betty Draper dress! It's classic, elegant, and looks beautiful on you! the color is gorgeous and look at that side zipper! well done :)
ReplyDeletethanks for the giveaway!
my vote is for the Ga ga ga gingham. First I love the dark Gingham with RED strappy shoes. Second how amazing is that dress?? You can do anything in it! You are swinging, I bet you could go dancing, laundry...even the DRIVE-IN. Do tell where on earth did you get those Cat Eye's??? They are to DIE for.
ReplyDeleteThe Rick Rack Dress for sure!! It's amazing... reversible, both dressy and casual, and even though you pick lots of things you would change with it, it still looks amazing. LOVE the rick rack edging. Just amazing.
ReplyDeleteGotta be the Betty Draper..it oozes class and looks fabulous on .
ReplyDeletex
HI! I love the halter dress you made, its way darling!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the 1950's Cat Eye Frames, I love it because I worn glasses most my life and always be in love with Cat Eye Frames! They are so stylish and cute!
ReplyDeleteluckysluna(at)yahoo(dot)com
Hi,
ReplyDeleteMy favourite, among favourites, is the Parasol skirt and top. I think all your creations are fab, and whilst I love dresses...I also love the flexibility of separates. I also love the parasol fabric. I am contemplating an 'Eiffel tower' dress at present - I have three yards itching to be used.
Btw...I love the prizes - I am contemplating replacing my specs at present...maybe I'll get lucky :-)
Drop by A.K.A.MrsB. and see your link...(http://parismegs.blogspot.com/)
Definitely the Betty dress! I love how you took such a simple pattern for a day-dress and turned it up to the nines with your fabric and button choices! It inspired me to see more of the potential in my patterns beyond the basic line drawings.
ReplyDeletea toss up between betty draper and the halter but I think the betty draper wins...
ReplyDeletei'd have to go for the coffee klatch wrap..it's so cute and still simple enough for everyday use. i'd love to have one of those. all the other dresses are fantastic too, but as i work with recycled crafts materials and don't really go anywhere special, i definitely go for the simple style, and anything too "fancy" i'd be scared to break or get stains on them...i wish i could sew as good as you..=) <3
ReplyDeleteI really like the halterneck dress, It looks like something I am planning to make ;-p
ReplyDeleteTania
It's a toss up between Betty Draper and Strawberry Fields. I think the Betty Draper dress is extremely flattering to your figure, but Strawberry Fields is fun and fantastical - which is important to have too!
ReplyDeleteThe Betty Draper dress. I love the shape and fabric choice.
ReplyDeleteWhile I do like the Betty Draper dress a lot, I think I will have to pick the halter dress because you can wear it more. It looks comfy, flowy and feminine.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win the giveaway, as I have been wanting fabric just like the prize fabric here!
I love the parasol top and skirt, it looks like you could swing and twirl about in it like when you were a kid! I love it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great giveaway, those glasses are too hot to trot!
Aww the Ga Ga Ga Gingham dress is adorable! Definitely my favourite. I'm obsessed with neck detail at the moment!
ReplyDeleteI ADORE the glasses, I've just been told I need glasses, and could only afford some slightly crappy frames. So I would love to win these so so much! I don't think it's too expensive to have new lenses put in. These look just like some designer ones I've been lusting after. And we all know vintage is way cooler than designer!
I really hope I win!!
Thanks for such a cute giveaway :)
xx
It's a hard choice, but I'd have to say the Rick-Rack dress, seeing as it is my favorite silhouette (fitted bodice, humongously full skirt), has POCKETS, is reversible, and features buttons and (duh) rick-rack!!
ReplyDeleteI've always loved your blog. Every post is classy and fun.
Also: I love everything in this giveaway! To have put together FOUR different things of such amazingness is a feat. I am awed.
muchdeepmeaning @ gmail . com
Hi, I just found your blog, I LOVE everything that you made. I am much more of a Betty Draper dress person myself, and I think that you did a wonderful job on fabric selection! It is such a beautiful cut, emphasizing your waist, and the detail on the front is such a nice touch! Although I have to say that your Strawberry Fields dress is so much fun! I am so glad I found your blog, can't wait to see what you make next!
ReplyDeleteErin M. can be reached at --> 8emm6@queensu.ca
My favourite dress would have to be the Ga Ga Ga Gingham - the arm details are adorable, as is the neck detail at the front!
ReplyDeleteBut all your dresses are beautiful, clearly perfectly constructed and fit you like a glove! Talented lady!!!
i love the parasol skirt and top. it looks like something you would buy at a high end boutique. i cant believe you made that.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if the contest is over or not but I just had to respond... The dresses are great but the HALTER DRESS is amazing and that would be my pick!! Thanks for sharing
