Kate Middleton: Vintage or Fashion Forward?

The other day I had the TV on and a newscast came on about how Kate Middleton (does she still go by that name?) wore this dress on her fist outing without 'her prince'.

 I gasped! I fell in love! I wanted the dress!

 This is a very old look and I applaud her for going with it. She looks stunning. It even has pockets! What do you think? Yes or No!



I searched vintage patterns for something similar and came up with these.

    She's pretty and I like the dress, but don't you think it's a little short (and her hair a little long) for the style? Maybe I'm just not fashion forward enough... ;)

    I love her dress! I think it's a mix of vintage and fashion forward. Vintage inspired, with a shorter more modern length. :]

    I don't think the dress is too short and I'm a sucker for long hair. The only thing missing in my opinion is white gloves.
