Hazel is Blushing

I bought this beautiful vintage nightgown on ebay last year for around $8.00 and I love it so much. I feel so special when I wear it and it feels like it was made for me. Now that I have Hazel I thought I would share it with you. The photos are somewhat washed out and don't really show the detail all that well, so sorry. No matter what, these photos do NOT show how really sweet it is in real life.

I took this earlier in the day. Notice the legs peering out from the hem. Of course Angel is never far away.
Here she is just a couple of minutes before, sunning herself. Don't be alarmed by her bald stomach. She has a little OCD licking problem and licks the hair off of her whole belly.
The absolutely adorable sleeves.

Three tries at photographing the bodice. I hope you can see it.
This lovely little basket is on the skirt. You can see where it is in the first picture.

My sister recently gave me this beautiful hair clip made from vintage
hat flowers and I thought it went well with the nightgown.

I sewed much of today and still have not finished the gingham dress. I will be putting the sleeves in tomorrow along with buttons and buttonholes. The neckline will have to wait. Maybe I can get photos up on Sunday, so stay tuned.

  2. That gown in breathtaking, I barely noticed the cat! I've bought a lot of vintage night-gowns from ebay too but never one as beautiful as that! I esepcially love the bodice and the little flowers adorning it, thank you for sharing it.
