Working My Way Back to You Babe

Dear Readers...Do I have any left after this month long sabbatical? How I miss blogging and sharing with you. I miss sewing so much and yearn for the day I can return without feeling there are one hundred other things I should be doing instead.

I have said it more than once recently....moving is about as much fun as having a wisdom tooth pulled and then getting dry socket. I know the end result will be what I remember, but can I just say I don't want to do this again for a very long time. That is unless I win the lottery and can pay someone to move EVERYTHING and organize EVERYTHING for me.

I am still surrounded by boxes and piles of dishes with no where to go. We need bookshelves, bookshelves and again more bookshelves. My ADD (Attention to Delightful Distractions) has been very evident with this move. At one point last Saturday I truly did not know if I was coming or going. I finally asked hubby to give me a job and point me in a direction that would be meaningful for the move. It worked and by 4:00 Sunday we had completely vacated our old house.

I know friendly readers that you are tired of hearing about this move. You want evidence, change, and maybe even possibly to see some photos of the inside of the house. Trust me they will come soon.

Here is a small tease.
This is the pantry before.
 And here it is after.
The kitchen is about 75% done and it is a major transformation from what was here. Not major in the sense that we gutted and redid it, but it is different and much more cheerful looking. Very vintage and cozy. I can't wait to share. I have one more day of wallpapering and it will be done.

What have you all been up to lately? Did I tell you I have missed you? I promise we will talk again soon.

Here is a photo from the first night I slept in the new house. There was a gorgeous full moon coming up over a neighbors house as I went to close the kitchen door for the evening.

Till then~

  1. I wish you many years of happiness in your new house. I'm with you on the moving thing, though. Each time I move I swear the only way I'll leave the new place is 'feet first.' Hah!

    Thanks for the update!
