But I keep trying.....
I have been trying to sew the plackets this morning. I am having trouble concentrating because my back hurts so much. Sitting and sewing are probably not the best things to be doing. I felt okay this morning, but an hour of bending, ironing and getting up and down from the floor have not been good. I guess I must just realize I can't do anything right now. Hubby just asked if I wanted to go walk the dogs with him. Huh? Ah, that would be no.
I read through Peter's placket post and then went back and forth with mine. I have a pattern with a 'two' piece placket and already my head is spinning with the dyslexia of it all. Front, back...right ...wrong. Oh my aching head. I searched around and found another tutorial using the two piece method and will give it a try once I can stand sitting for more than 5 minutes. Sitting is the worst position for me.
Sleeve plackets make my eyes glaze over too. Try Summerset's tutorial here. It rocks.
ReplyDeleteRest that back and feel better soon!
Ugh, mine doesn't even have a placket, which you think would simplify things, but really it just makes it more confusing!
ReplyDeleteOnce I figured out the sleeve placket, it was easy. The figuring out part was a little more difficult.
ReplyDeleteI hope your back gets better soon, I've had pinched nerves before and that's enough, I can't imagine what it's like to have chronic back problems.
Get well soon!
This may sound unpleasant...Ice,Ice,Baby.
ReplyDeleteIt takes down the swelling, then heating pad.
with ibuprofen. So sorry you're not feeling well still. I just couldn't stop laughing at the dogs and your husbands invitation, you're so darn funny! As to the shirt...me too, girlfriend ;)

Thanks Elise...I have iced, heated and Iboprofened myself silly. All of that and some time and I'm sure I'll be back to my old self. Heck I danced for 4 hours the week before.
