Dream A Little Dream With Me

The other day while searching for a pattern to use for the 'Rose Print Dress', I had to go into the attic and bring down all of the patterns I had purchased over the course of this past year. They had been packed away since our move. I guess everything happens for a reason, but I sure wish I had done this sometime this winter because I found a plethora of patterns I had forgotten about and now it feels I have no time to sew them.

Most of them have a "That Girl" or "Mary Richards" kind of look to them. Here I go again trying to bring back my youth!!! But don't you just love them? None of them have a waist, which is a very good thing for this peri-menopausal woman with a thickening waistline. I just know I am going to have to purchase a waist cincher for the 'Rose Print Dress'. I am going to have to be in full body armor to pull the look off. So letting it all out in some of these cute, easy 60's outfits will feel wonderful.

I know these next two are certainly 'unprinted' patterns. But maybe after the "Rose Print Dress" I will have the confidence to tackle them.

With an upcoming wedding, this all may be pie-in-the-sky dreaming, but a gal can dream, can't she?

  2. Simplicity 7994, particularly the long sleeve white pantsuit with the Nehru collar, is a winner in my book!

  3. I love the Nehru collar one as well. Just wish my legs were half as long as the girl on the cover. I will probably look like mama cass in that mumu in it. LOL
