My road to the vintage life

The road to my vintage life began a little over a year ago, when my sister Patti Sinclair got us a guest spot on a local news television show called Connecticut Style. Our plan was to highlight recipes from deceased loved ones which were still family favorites in the generations that followed. It was my idea that we dress and use cookware and equipment from the past. Thus started my looking on e-bay for the first time for vintage aprons which I highlighted on this post. I have over 25-30 of them now and need to dust a few off and get cooking.

This was producer Kate Sparrows addition from her "Granny Reba".

I soon caught the craze of searching out vintage clothes from the 1940's and 1950's not only for this venture with my sister, but for my 50th birthday party last summer as well.

On Memorial Day weekend which is famous for its Tag Sales I took a ride around our part of the planet in search of appropriate Tag Sales. I don't know how I found it or what angel was watching over me but I hit the mother load of 1950's stuff straight from a glamorous women who lived the life in New York City.

I will spend this coming week showing off some of my finds for you, so stay tuned.
