Mr. & Mrs. Braveheart

I am still here! It has been a whirlwind of a few months. Lots of planning, baking and just plain praying for my Dad and for Sir Braveheart's wedding. The news is great all around. My Dad is doing much better and improving daily and Sir Braveheart....what can I say...It was a spectacular wedding in every way. The weather was gorgeous, the bride stunning, radiant and filled with love and joy, and the groom, well, I have never seen him happier! Here are a few shots taken by my amazingly talented 15 year old niece.
May your joys in life be as many as there are bubbles in the Champagne!
Watching Braveheart's Queen come down the aisle.
Sir Braveheart seeing his Queen for the first time.

What other color could the bridesmaids wear except Kelly green?
If you knew Sir Braveheart, and Queen of Bravehearts' name, you would understand why?

"Our grandchildren are going to have some amazing dimples!"

I do!!! I do!!! I do!!! Mr. and Mrs.
As part of the ceremony they took three pieces of cloth and braided them together. One was a part of her wedding dress, one was a piece of a baby dress (she was a preemie and it was a very wee dress), and the other was a piece of crocheted lace that my grandmother made.
And the two moms in the background holding hands.

 First dance.

My boy!!! I love him so!

One of the best parts of the night was when these two did an impromptu dance to this Bon Jovi song, and let me tell you Bon Jovi had nothing over these two.

They loved this idea, especially since there were so many police officers at the wedding.

And they lived happily ever after.......

  6. Congratulations, Lisa! What wonderful pictures.....your niece really has a special touch with the camera.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. The cabaret show is going great. We (Peter has a role too!) now have a musical director and a director and have begun rehearsing.

If I were still food blogging, you'd be hearing about today's rather bizarre creation: a sauce I may serve over pasta made from tomatoes, red currants, and hotdogs. I think it's going to be better than it sounds, but Peter will surely tell you his "frank" opinion tomorrow.

    Much love,

    Michael
