How shall I accessorize?
Shall I wear my hair up or down?

I need gloves!
I went up into my attic to fetch one of my 50 pair of gloves and could not find any of them.
There are still so many misplaced things of mine since our move.
I found this hat instead!

Last week I invited a friend of mine to lunch, I thought it would be nice and easy to take her over to the 'sister' restaurant to the one I work at, The Southfield Store. It is just around the corner and has great food.

Waiting for my friend to arrive.

Here she is!!!

 This is the Southfield Store.
Back in the days (of which I still remember) there were gas pumps outside and it was a general store. Thus the name. It is not really a store now, but a fabulous restaurant and bakery that serves up one of the best brunches in the area each Sunday morning.

It is often a destination of bikers meandering through the Berkshires...

But on this day, Sassy Lassie enjoyed a cool and refreshing soda and some fresh air.

Woops, my petticoat is showing. I guess that's better than the time I flashed the mailman.

Looks like I just saw a ghost...but what I actually saw was my boss walking toward me.
Oh dear, now he's going to know how REALLY weird I am!!!!

The pleats.
Made nice and sharp with vinegar and water and a steam iron.

There is my new dress form in the background. I have not had a chance to make the size adjustments yet, but I am really looking forward to using it on my next project.

I am pretty sure I am going to hold off on making the jacket to go with this for the time being. I need new blood in my veins, so to speak. I am going to look through some of my umpteen zillion patterns and try something new. I still have the 'jeans sew along' to do as well, along with some knitting projects and more.

A big thank you to Peter for this lovely fabric.
I think I'll trade that soda in for some Champagne with Cathy.

  2. Wow! You did a great job on that dress. I like how the buttons meet in the middle instead of overlapping. The fabric must be vintage as well, no?
