Fresh Avocado and Italian Sausage for Breakfast

Yum...just finished it!

Well first off, thank you so much to all who commented and/or wrote me an e-mail of sewing encouragement. It meant the world to me. I guess I just need to stop thinking about it and just 'do it'. So besides the MPB Men's Sew Along I hope to do something else.  I still have the Carmen Miranda inspired outfit to sew as well as the 70's outfit I wanted to do. The thing with both of these and many of the garments I have already sewn is that they are not really wearable. So maybe I will try something very wearable next. Will check out my stash and patterns and see what I can come up with.

I am trying to write this as the Today show is going though all the dresses on the red carpet at the Golden Globes last night. I am completely distracted. Did you watch them? I was working and missed the show but of course there is plenty of coverage this morning. What were your favorite dresses? Men's wear? (I don't really care about the actual awards).

Here are some of mine.

I love, love, loved Robert Downey Jr.'s attire. The color of his tie is magnificent.
Thinking I might have to show this look to my son for his wedding.

  1. Seeing those sophisticated couture gowns on all those young actresses -- you just know they've all been professionally styled to the max. After a while they all start to look the same to me.

I'll take Cher in an outrageous Bob Mackie any day!

  2. Yes Peter, styled to the max. I have to agree. God how I loved watching shows back in 'the day' to see what she would arrive in. I guess Helena Bonham Carter came the closest last night.
