Lots of UFO's in Massachusetts...and more

I am here and doing lots of things, just not blogging about them.

Yesterday I got some long needed ironing done.

Yes, this iron works and came with our house.
LOVE IT!

I have also been doing lots of cooking and then freezing leftovers so hubby has a substantial dinner on the nights I work.

And so many UFO's!!! I knit these socks a year and a half ago. All I need to do is spend 10 minutes finishing them. I need to do it and put a next to them.

I started this project with Tasha at By Gum, By Golly in March. This gal really knows how to knit!
We were supposed to finish it by June for summer, but alas my father got sick and then there was THE WEDDING... I just picked it up again last week. I actually picked it up a few weeks ago and realized that I had knit about 4 or 5 inches, but they were wrong, so I unraveled it and then had a total mess of tangled yarn. It took me another week to untangle it. When will I learn? I am moving right along now.

I have two other knitting projects that I want to start and finish soon. Oy! Along with some sewing!!! Yesterday I went to the big city and to the only fabric store for miles. I was just going to look at the fabric, but can you just look? I came away with this polka dot fabric that I adore.

This summer a women came into the restaurant with a polka dot dress on and it looked smashing, gorgeous and I vowed I would make something in polka dots for myself. I am going to use this pattern.
I also bought this fabric to finally make some Palazzo Pants and finally finish this project.

I thought a lot about using a retro looking 70's fabric, but could not find one I loved and I really want to start making clothes that I will wear more often, so I chose this print.

I ALSO recently bought this fabric on ebay .

and thinking of making

Okay, Sassy's head is spinning. I also have gardening to do and some reading. This IS harvest time right? Not time for hibernation yet. Do you like to do 10 things at once? Does your creative mind get you going in lots of different directions? Is it just me? Is anyone like me? Do I need a 12 step program?

I think I need a nap!

  1. I have iron envy! And I just love the material from ebay and the pattern you are going to use with it- can't wait to see the finished product!

  2. I don't think it actually happened if you don't blog about it, Sassy!

  3. Ooh yay, you are sailing now on your Briar Rose! When I have to rip out a bunch of knitting I wind it back onto the ball as I go, that way I avoid any messy tangles. :)

My creative mind definitely has me going in different directions at the same time, quite frequently in fact. This season in particular!
